Cash Assistance Given 3rd Quarter: July - September, 2025


  1. WOW provided $300 in cash assistance to aid a woman with a fixed income who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and admitted to Shands Hospital for her medical procedure.


  2. WOW provided $130 in cash assistance to an elderly woman to keep her lights on.


  3. WOW provided $500 in cash assistance to a woman whose husband has been in the ICU for more than a month following a complete esophagus replacement. He was on life support for several weeks, and she couldn't work as she stayed by his side.


  1. WOW provided $500 in cash assistance to a homeless family of six. A grandmother, her daughter, and four young children were forced to live in their car until they could gather enough resources to afford a single hotel room for all of them. They required food and assistance with accommodation costs until their promised apartment was ready for them to move into.


  1. WOW provided $300 in cash assistance to a senior who continues to work because her social security check is insufficient to cover her expenses. However, she has been unable to work for several months due to a debilitating disorder, leading to accumulating bills and her car being in the shop. She expressed uncertainty about her ability to drive safely due to her condition.


  1. WOW provided $300 in cash assistance to a woman struggling with overdue payments on various bills, including utilities and rent, to help her restore her electricity.
